Since 1980, the Caravan of the Message, which is the Vancouver branch of the Sufi Order International, has been spreading the message of Hazrat Inayat Khan through classes, music, dancing, and spiritual companionship. All are welcome. Please join us!

The weekly Thursday classes are free and delve into the teachings of Sufism as per Hazrat Inayat Khan, Pir Vilayat Khan, and Pir Zia. More often than not, music will be incorporated in the classes along with the teachings.

The monthly Universel Kirtans are musical evenings of singing sacred songs of not only the Sufi tradition but also of Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and other traditions. The Universel Kirtans are offered by donation.

Our “year” of classes and events goes from September to June, with a summer break during July and August. Check the calendar for special events.

Service

One of the outcomes of recognizing the divinity to all, is to offer compassionate help to others who are in need. To that end, a large portion of the donations go to charitable organizations. In the past, we have supported SEVA (Sight restoration in Nepal, India, Tibet etc.), Doctors Without Borders (medical assistance in world ‘trouble’ spots), Ugandan Lunch Program, Health Inc (health, education and vocational programs, Ladakh India), the Hope Project, and the Sufi Order International.
